Fruit Heights Utah July 2026: 4th of July, Pioneer Day & Summer Events Guide
Tucked against the mountains between Kaysville and Farmington, Fruit Heights celebrates July the way it does everything — together. This year carries extra meaning: July 4, 2026 marks America’s 250th birthday, and Fruit Heights is joining the commemoration with its traditional parade and neighborhood gatherings. One important note up front: personal fireworks are banned citywide in Fruit Heights over the holiday this year. Here’s the full July guide, sources included.
4th of July in Fruit Heights
- Kaysville/Fruit Heights 4th of July Parade — Saturday, July 4, 2026. The two cities’ long-running joint parade returns for the nation’s 250th. In past years the parade has stepped off at 10:00 AM along the traditional Kaysville Main Street route (500 East to Main Street to 100 North to 100 East) — confirm this year’s start time and route on the Fruit Heights city calendar or Kaysville City’s site before heading out.
- Fruit Heights also held a City Party on Monday, June 29 as part of its celebration of 250 years of American history — a warm-up for the holiday weekend (fruitheights.gov).
- For professional fireworks shows around Davis County on the Fourth, see Discover Davis and the ABC4 statewide fireworks map.
Fireworks Rules in Fruit Heights for 2026: Citywide Ban
This one is clear and official: personal fireworks are banned citywide in Fruit Heights from July 2–5, 2026 — on both the east and west sides of the city.
- Following Gov. Spencer Cox’s temporary statewide executive order issued amid historic wildfire conditions, Mayor Jeanne Groberg — in consultation with Farmington Fire Chief Shelby Willis and the City Council — announced that Fruit Heights will follow the order citywide. Read the full statement on the city’s official Fireworks page.
- Law enforcement and fire patrols will be active, and illegal discharge can bring a fine of up to $1,000 (Utah Code 53-7-225).
- Professional displays are not affected — the city encourages residents to enjoy one of the licensed shows in the area instead.
- Neighboring cities have different rules this year, so check each city’s restrictions before lighting fireworks anywhere (2026 restricted areas list).
- The city’s 2026 fireworks and fire restrictions map has full details.
Pioneer Day: July 24, 2026
Pioneer Day falls on a Friday, giving Fruit Heights families a long weekend. Two things to know:
- The state’s fireworks order will be reassessed ahead of the Pioneer Day holiday, depending on conditions — check the city Fireworks page again in late July before making plans.
- Bountiful Handcart Days — Friday–Saturday, July 24–25, 2026. Davis County’s largest Pioneer Day celebration marks its 76th year with the theme "Faith and Freedom," honoring the 1847 pioneers and America’s 250th anniversary — park festivities, a Main Street parade, and a professional fireworks show (Davis Journal).
