South Weber History
The Windy City • Settled 1851 on the Weber River
The Watts and Bybee families settled along the Weber River in 1851, and in 1855 the Territorial Legislature split the town of “Easton” at the river — the south side became South Weber and joined Davis County. The town incorporated in 1938 and became a city in 1971.

- The Morrisite War: in June 1862 a posse of ~500 fired on followers of Joseph Morris at Kingston Fort on the city’s west end, killing Morris; a memorial stands at 475 E and Old Fort Road
