Layton maintains a mix of paved parkway trails for walking and biking plus a natural-surface route into the foothills. Here are the city’s named trails, with trailheads and distances.

The Trails

Adams Canyon / Bonneville Shoreline

1.9 miles of unpaved trail climbing to a waterfall. Trailhead: 600 S Eastside Dr.

Kays Creek Parkway

2.5 miles of paved trail across 100+ acres, plus a 0.94-mile soft trail around Hobbs Reservoir. Trailheads include the Adam J. Welker Trailhead (2700 N 2125 E, 25 parking spaces), Canyon View, Oak Forest, and a lower trailhead at 2210 N 1450 E.

D&RG Trail

2.8 miles of paved trail. Trailheads at 1500 N 2200 W, 1800 W Gordon Ave, 1040 W Gentile St, and 670 S Vance Dr.

Weaver Lane Trail

1.3 miles of paved trail. Access at Flint St & Layton Parkway, 1080 S Angel St, and 1700 W Weaver Lane.

Bamberger Trail

0.7 mile of paved trail, beginning just east of I-15 on Gentile St and ending at Gordon Avenue.

Sun Hills Trail

0.57 mile of paved trail, connecting from Grey Hawk Park (3500 N Redtail Way).
