Effective June 4, 2026. These terms apply to every photo, video, or image (“Submission”) sent to DavisCountyUtah.com through our submission form or by any other means.

1. Who May Submit

You must be 18 or older to submit. If you are under 18, a parent or legal guardian must submit on your behalf and accept these terms for you.

2. What You Promise Us

By submitting, you represent and warrant that:

• You personally created the Submission and own all rights to it, or you have written permission from the owner to grant the rights below
• Any people recognizable in the Submission have given you permission to share it for publication (for minors, permission from their parent or guardian)
• The Submission does not infringe any copyright, trademark, privacy right, publicity right, or other right of any person or company
• The Submission is not unlawful, defamatory, or misleading
• You are responsible for any claims arising from a breach of these promises

3. The License You Grant Us

You keep ownership of your Submission. In consideration of possible publication, you grant DavisCountyUtah.com and its owner a non-exclusive, perpetual, irrevocable, worldwide, royalty-free, transferable, and sublicensable license to use, reproduce, publish, display, distribute, edit, crop, resize, adapt, caption, and create derivative works from the Submission, in whole or in part, in any media now known or later developed — including on DavisCountyUtah.com, on any affiliated or sister websites, publications, and brands we own or operate now or in the future, in our email newsletters, on our social media channels, and in promotion of any of the above.

4. Credit

Our practice is to credit published photos to the photographer’s name and city. The format, placement, and presence of credit is at our editorial discretion, and technical or layout constraints may occasionally prevent it.

5. No Compensation, No Obligation

Submissions are voluntary and unpaid. We are not obligated to publish, keep published, or return any Submission, and we may remove any Submission at any time at our discretion.

6. Removal Requests

If you ask us to remove your published photo, we will consider the request in good faith and will ordinarily honor it on our own sites going forward — but removal is not guaranteed, and we cannot recall uses already distributed (for example, sent newsletters, printed materials, or third-party shares).

7. Email

If you check the newsletter box on the form, we will add you to the DavisCountyUtah.com email list; you may unsubscribe at any time. We use your contact information to communicate with you about your Submission either way.

8. Changes

We may update these terms by posting a revised version on this page; the version in effect when you submit governs that Submission.
