Davis County Homeowner Tax Calendar
Every property tax date that matters — in one place
Davis County property taxes run on a strict calendar, and missing a date can cost you real money — especially the appeal and relief deadlines. Bookmark this page; we keep it current.
The Calendar
- January 1 — Lien date: your property is valued as of this day
- After April 1 — Low-income abatement applications open
- Mid-May — The county’s annual delinquent tax sale (properties 5 years behind are auctioned; next sale May 12, 2027)
- Late July — Valuation notices mail out (recently around July 22). Check yours immediately — the appeal clock starts here
- September 1 — Deadline for tax relief: low-income/Circuit Breaker (67+), veteran, blind, and active-duty exemptions
- September 15 — Valuation appeal deadline
- November 30 — Property taxes due
- January 31 — Last day to pay before additional penalty
Tax Relief You Might Be Missing
Davis County offers abatements many eligible homeowners never claim: the Circuit Breaker for homeowners 67+, the indigent abatement (under 67, limited income), disabled veteran, blind, and active-duty exemptions. All are due September 1 — details at the county abatements page.
Protect Your Title for Free
The county’s free Property Watch service emails you whenever a document is recorded against your property — the simplest title-fraud protection there is.
