Layton City’s Emergency Management program helps the community prepare for and recover from disasters — natural and man-made — and offers several ways for residents to get ready and get involved.

Get Trained & Involved
- CERT (Community Emergency Response Team) training through the Layton Citizen Corps Council
- The Citizen Corps Council organizes the city into Districts, Areas, and Blocks, with volunteer Coordinators and Block Captains
- Related volunteer programs: Neighborhood Watch, FireCorps, Amateur Radio Communications, and Volunteers in Police Services
Be Prepared
The city maintains an Emergency Operations Plan and shares citizen-preparedness resources for the hazards most likely to affect Layton. Build a 72-hour kit, make a family plan, and know your neighborhood’s coordinators.
