Farmington contracts curbside garbage and recycling collection, with recycling processed through the regional Wasatch Integrated facility and a new curbside green-waste program rolling out in 2026.
Collection
- Hauler: Robinson Waste (curbside collection) — missed pickup: 801-825-3800
- Cans & billing: Farmington Public Works, 720 W 100 N — 801-451-2624
- Recycling: Processed at the Davis Material Recovery Facility, operated by Wasatch Integrated Waste Management District
- Extra cans: $25 to deliver or pick up; $110 to replace a lost container (no charge to repair)
Green Waste (new in 2026)
- Optional curbside green-waste carts delivered March–April 2026, run with Wasatch Integrated
- $9.70 per month
- Runs the first full week of April through the last full week of November
- Accepts yard waste and branches up to 2" diameter and 4' long
- Off-season (December–March), the cart can be used for regular refuse

Schedule & Holidays
Look up your collection days on the city’s interactive Garbage & Recycling page. In 2026, collection is delayed one day after New Year’s, Memorial Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving, and Christmas; July 4 runs on the normal schedule.
