Secondary (Irrigation) Water
Pressurized irrigation water • Farmington, Utah
Most Farmington properties use pressurized secondary (irrigation) water for lawns and gardens, delivered by the Benchland Water District. It’s a separate system from the city’s culinary (drinking) water, so it has its own provider, billing, and seasonal schedule.
Provider
- Secondary/irrigation water: Benchland Water District — 801-451-2105 (Mon–Fri 10 a.m.–5 p.m.); after-hours emergency 801-726-3709
- Culinary (drinking) water: Farmington City (city wells + Weber Basin) — billing 801-451-2383
Seasonal Schedule
- Have your system off by April 1 as mainlines are charged
- Water is typically available to all users by April 15
- Mainlines begin draining around September 15 — drain your own system afterward to prevent frost damage
