The Bountiful City Landfill is owned and operated by Bountiful City and funded by Bountiful residents — so regular landfill service is for Bountiful residents only (proof of residency required). One exception: clean green waste is accepted from residents of Bountiful, Centerville, Woods Cross, North Salt Lake, and West Bountiful.

Hours

• Summer (April 1 – October 31): Monday–Saturday, 8:00 a.m. – 6:00 p.m.
• Winter (November 1 – March 31): Monday–Saturday, 8:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.
• Arrive at least 30 minutes before closing; the gate closes 20 minutes before close
• Closed Sundays and state/federal holidays

Rates (Bountiful residents)

• Small load (one 6’×8’ pickup bed): $5
• Medium load (two beds): $10
• Large load (three beds): $15
• Construction waste: $50/ton ($25 minimum)
• Municipal solid waste: $50/ton ($25 minimum)
• Refrigerant units (fridges/AC): $20 each
• Mattress or box spring: $20 each
• Dump trailers: weighed in/out at commercial rates

Green Waste

Clean green waste only — no dirt, construction debris, or mixed loads. Open to residents of Bountiful, Centerville, Woods Cross, North Salt Lake, and West Bountiful with proof of residency: $5 per truck/car/small trailer, $10 large trailer, $15 large truck.

Compost & Wood Chips

Available year-round: compost $35/ton, wood chips $25/ton.

Not Accepted

• Hazardous waste and liquids
• Propane tanks, barrels/drums
• Tires (unless shredded)
• Industrial or infectious waste, asbestos
• Animal carcasses only with prior approval from the landfill office

All loads must be covered and secured in transit (Utah H.B. 53). Payment: cash or Visa/MasterCard/Discover (no debit or AmEx). Household hazardous waste is collected one Saturday each October — watch your utility bill. Full details: Bountiful City Landfill (official).
