Bountiful Chalk Art Festival 2026: Chalk Art Takes Over Historic Main Street

From June 3–6, 2026, the Bountiful Chalk Art Festival returned to Historic Main Street, where professional and amateur artists from across Utah knelt on the pavement and turned plain concrete into vivid, larger-than-life chalk creations. The festival is free, family-friendly, and has quietly become one of the signature early-summer traditions in southern Davis County — part art show, part street party, part community reunion.

What the weekend looked like

This year’s festival packed Main Street with color and motion. A few of the things that made the 2026 edition worth the walk:

  • Sidewalk masterpieces. Professional and amateur artists worked squares up and down the street — from playful, family-friendly scenes to ambitious 3D pieces that looked like they were leaping off the pavement.
  • Live music & entertainment. Performers kept the street lively all weekend, with an Open Mic Night giving local talent the spotlight.
  • Family-friendly fun. Hands-on activities meant kids weren’t just watching the art — plenty had chalk on their own hands by the end.
  • Local shopping & dining. Historic Main Street’s shops and restaurants stayed busy as crowds wandered between squares.
  • Community celebration. More than anything, it was a weekend of neighbors out on the street together — exactly what downtown Bountiful does well.

Why this one’s worth circling on the calendar

What makes the chalk art festival special is how temporary it all is. The art is gorgeous, painstaking, and gone with the next rain — which is exactly why people come out while it lasts. It’s also one of the easiest free outings on the Davis County summer calendar: park once, walk the street, watch art happen in real time, grab a bite, and let the kids run. If you missed it in 2026, it’s an easy one to plan around next year.
