July in Kaysville is something special every year, but 2026 is a once-in-a-generation summer. As America marks its 250th birthday, Kaysville has rolled its beloved Independence Day traditions into Freedom Week 250 — a full week of parades, tournaments, movies, music, and fireworks centered on Main Street and Barnes Park. Here’s everything happening around Kaysville this month, with dates, times, and locations so you can plan the whole family’s calendar.

4th of July in Kaysville: Freedom Week 250

Kaysville’s Freedom Week 250 celebration runs June 28 through July 4, and the biggest days are still ahead (kaysville.gov):

  • Friday, July 3 — Movies in the Park at Barnes Park (950 W 200 N): Food trucks begin at 7 p.m.; Miracle screens on the north end of Liston Field and the live-action How to Train Your Dragon on the south end, both starting at dusk.
  • Saturday, July 4 — 4th of July Breakfast: 6:30–9:45 a.m. at Davis Technical College; $5 per person or $25 per family of up to six.

Fireworks Rules in Kaysville for 2026

Kaysville City issued updated 2026 restrictions on June 30 in response to extreme wildfire conditions and the Governor’s statewide executive order (official city alert):

  • All aerial fireworks are banned citywide — including aerial repeaters (“cakes”) and other aerial devices.
  • All fireworks of any type are banned inside the city’s designated High Fire Hazard Areas (shown in red on the city restriction map).
  • Ground fireworks remain allowed in lower-risk areas during permitted dates (typically July 2–5, subject to state and local rules).
  • Discharging fireworks in a restricted area is a Class B misdemeanor, and users are civilly liable for any damage.

Before lighting anything, check the Kaysville fireworks page and map. Report fireworks concerns to Davis Dispatch at 801-451-4150 — never 911.

Pioneer Day (July 24) in Kaysville

Pioneer Day lands on a Friday this year. Kaysville’s tradition in recent years has been a community pancake breakfast fundraiser at Bowman’s Market (326 N Main St), typically 7–10 a.m., supporting youth recreation scholarships — but the city hadn’t posted final 2026 Pioneer Day details as of this writing, so confirm on the Kaysville community events calendar before you go. Statewide, July 24 is a full holiday, with the Days of ’47 celebrations in Salt Lake City an easy drive away.

Remember: the July 22–25 fireworks window around Pioneer Day is subject to the same city restrictions — check the current map first.

Kaysville & America 250

Freedom Week 250 is Kaysville’s hometown contribution to the nation’s semiquincentennial — the 250th anniversary of the Declaration of Independence. Statewide, America250 Utah is coordinating a year of commemoration, including America’s Potluck on Sunday, July 5, 2026, when neighborhoods across Utah are invited to gather for a shared meal, plus the Walk250 Utah challenge and the opening of the Museum of Utah on Capitol Hill. It’s a fitting year for a city whose Independence Day celebration is one of Davis County’s most cherished traditions.

Wherever July takes you, Kaysville is a wonderful place to spend it — and there’s plenty more happening across the county all month long.
