West Bountiful Fall Cleanup Set for Oct. 15–17, With Free Green Waste at Bountiful Landfill
West Bountiful’s fall cleanup is set for Thursday, Oct. 15, through Saturday, Oct. 17, giving residents three days to clear out yard waste and household clutter before winter. Details come from the city’s official event listing.
Where and when
Drop-off is at the city’s Public Works facility, 1410 West 1200 North. Hours are:
- Thursday, Oct. 15: 7 a.m. to 7 p.m.
- Friday, Oct. 16: 7 a.m. to 7 p.m.
- Saturday, Oct. 17: 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., or until the bins are full
That last point matters. Saturday hours can end early if the bins fill up, so plan to come Thursday or Friday if you have a big load.
Free green waste at the landfill
During the same three days, Oct. 15 through Oct. 17, the city will cover the cost of all green waste taken to the Bountiful Landfill. The landfill accepts green waste year-round for a small fee, so this is the window to haul leaves, branches and garden trimmings at no charge.
Before you load the truck
- Cover and secure your load for the drive.
- Check the city’s recycle info and garbage collection pages for items that belong in regular curbside service instead.
- The city’s listing does not spell out a list of accepted or prohibited items. If you are unsure about paint, tires, electronics or other special items, call City Hall at (801) 292-4486 before you go.
Why it matters
