This Week in Centerville: The Whit After Dark, Church Well Repairs, Planning Hearings (Oct 22–28)
Centerville’s week features a timed mystery event at the Whitaker Museum, a short well closure and a Planning Commission meeting with two conditional use permit hearings on the agenda.
On the calendar
The Whit After Dark: Treason 1776 — Friday, Oct. 23, 6–9 p.m. The Whitaker Museum is hosting a family-friendly timed mystery event. Pre-registration is required through the city’s registration catalog, and anyone under 18 must be escorted by an adult. See also our calendar listing.
Meetings
The Whitaker Museum Board is scheduled to meet Tuesday, Oct. 27, at 5 p.m. The Planning Commission is scheduled to meet Wednesday, Oct. 28, at 7 p.m. at Centerville City Hall, 250 North Main Street. Public hearing notices posted by the city say the commission is scheduled to consider a conditional use permit for a convenience store use at 95 North Main Street, and a conditional use permit for a home-based bakery operating as a home occupation at 487 Gallop Circle. A hearing is not a decision; we will report outcomes once the city posts them. Questions go to Community Development at 801-292-8232. Agendas and meeting notices are linked on our Centerville page.
