Your Wasatch Front Pioneer Day Guide 2026: Ogden to Provo
Pioneer Day — July 24 — is Utah’s homegrown holiday, and the whole Wasatch Front celebrates it big. From Ogden’s weeklong rodeo to Salt Lake’s Days of ’47 parade to fireworks over Utah Lake, here’s your guide to the marquee celebrations from Weber County to Utah County. Salt Lake City — Days of ’47
The state’s flagship Pioneer Day celebration runs all week (daysof47.com):
- Days of ’47 Parade — Friday, July 24 at 9 a.m. One of the largest parades in the country, running from South Temple and State Street east toward Liberty Park.
- Days of ’47 Rodeo — nightly July 21–25 at the Utah State Fairpark (155 S 1000 West).
- Pioneer cattle drive — Tuesday, July 21 at 9 a.m. through downtown streets.
- Float Preview Party — July 21–22, 11 a.m.–9 p.m. at the Mountain America Expo Center in Sandy.
- Deseret News Marathon — Friday, July 24, 5:30 a.m. start.
- Drone show — Friday, July 24 at 10 p.m. at Liberty Park.
Want the history up close? This Is The Place Heritage Park (2601 Sunnyside Ave.) celebrates July 24 with a flag ceremony at 10:30 a.m., a handcart parade at 11 a.m., and pioneer games, dancing, and a watermelon contest from 10 a.m.–5 p.m.
Ogden — Ogden Pioneer Days
Weber County’s celebration centers on one of the country’s top PRCA rodeos (ogdenpioneerdays.com):
- PRCA Rodeo — five nights, July 20–24 at Spencer Fox Eccles Pioneer Stadium; gates at 5:30 p.m., events at 7:30 p.m., with a drone show after each night’s performance.
- Horse & Hitch Parade and Grande Parade — Friday, July 24 at 9 a.m. along Washington Boulevard (30th to 20th Streets).
Davis County
Closer to home, Bountiful’s Handcart Days runs July 24–25 — a Saturday parade at 9 a.m. and a fireworks show at 10 p.m. — and Layton caps July 24 with its Electric Light Parade at 10 p.m. Nearly every city in the county has something going on.

Utah County & the south end
- Spanish Fork — Fiesta Days: a full slate at the Sports Park capped by a fireworks finale around 10 p.m. on July 24.
- Fireworks over Utah Lake — July 24, around 11 p.m.
- Orem — Pioneer Day Celebration & Market: July 24 from 5 p.m. at the Orchard at University Place, with entertainment and a vendor market.
- American Fork — Steel Days: July 18–25, with a carnival, parade, pool party, and Saturday fireworks.
- Eagle Mountain — Summer Bash: July 25, 4–10 p.m. at Cory Wride Memorial Park, with music, games, and a laser show.
