Garth Brooks Opens 4-Night Run at Delta Center: Watch Opening Night
Country music superstar Garth Brooks opened a four-night run at the Delta Center in downtown Salt Lake City on Thursday, Oct. 8, 2026 — and Davis County Utah was in the building. Watch our five-minute look inside opening night below.
Three more shows this weekend
Opening night was the first of four Delta Center concerts on the Blame It All On My Roots Arena Tour. The remaining shows are:
- Friday, Oct. 9 — 8:00 p.m.
- Saturday, Oct. 10 — 8:00 p.m.
- Sunday, Oct. 11 — 2:00 p.m. matinee
Ticket availability changes quickly. Check the official Delta Center website for current tickets and pricing, and buy only through the venue’s official ticketing partner.
Why Salt Lake got four nights
Brooks first announced two Utah dates, then added a Sunday matinee and a Thursday opening night after ticket demand overwhelmed the first on-sale. KUTV reported that more than 100,000 fans lined up in the online queue for the original shows, and that bot activity disrupted early sales.
What the show looks like
The arena tour puts Brooks in the round on a 360-degree stage ringed by LED screens, and it brings back his signature Drum Pod from his ’90s arena tours. Our video gives you a feel for the crowd and the energy inside the arena on opening night.
Heading down from Davis County?
- Leave early. I-15 and downtown streets get busy on concert nights, especially with back-to-back shows.
- Consider FrontRunner and TRAX. FrontRunner stops in Davis County connect to downtown Salt Lake, where TRAX runs near the Delta Center. Check rideuta.com for weekend and late-night schedules before you go.
- Check the venue’s bag and entry rules on the Delta Center website before you leave home.
