This Week in West Bountiful: Fall Cleanup, Pages Lane Closure, Columbus Day Closure (Oct 9–20)
A busy stretch is ahead in West Bountiful: the city’s fall cleanup runs Thursday through Saturday, City Hall closes Monday for Columbus Day, and Pages Lane near I-15 shuts down for months starting Oct. 15. Here is what the city has posted on its official calendar and notices for Oct. 9–20.
On the calendar
- Fri., Oct. 9, 7–8 p.m.: Arts Council Concert: Cowboy Poetry. The city’s calendar does not list a venue or cost, so check the event page before you go.
- Mon., Oct. 12, 5–7 p.m.: WB Paul Revere Riders. The city lists the time but no location on the calendar entry.
- Thu., Oct. 15 – Sat., Oct. 17: Fall Cleanup at the Public Works facility, 1410 W. 1200 N. Waste drop-off runs 7 a.m.–7 p.m. Thursday and Friday and 8 a.m.–5 p.m. Saturday, or until the bins are full. The city says it will cover the cost of green waste at the Bountiful Landfill from Oct. 15 through Oct. 17; the landfill accepts green waste year-round for a small fee.
Around town
- Columbus Day: West Bountiful City offices are closed Monday, Oct. 12. The city’s calendar also lists recycle collection on Oct. 12–13.
- Pages Lane closure: The city says Pages Lane will be closed through the work area near the City Park and I-15 from Oct. 15 through Jan. 25, 2027, for the FrontRunner 2X project. The posted detour is 400 North across I-15, and the city expects heavier traffic there at peak hours. Work is mostly during the day, with some noise, dust and vibration, and FrontRunner service is not affected. Our earlier report has the full details: Pages Lane closes Oct. 15 through Jan. 25.
Meetings
Two public meetings are scheduled on the city calendar: the Planning Commission on Tuesday, Oct. 13, at 7:30 p.m., and the City Council on Tuesday, Oct. 20, at 7:30 p.m. Agendas and meeting notices are linked on our West Bountiful page.
