This Week in Clearfield: All-Abilities Playground Ribbon Cutting, Pumpkin Float (Oct 15–21)
Clearfield’s new all-abilities playground is ready for its first visitors: the city is holding a ribbon cutting today, and a pumpkin-and-movie night, a costumed-dog event and a fall cleanup voucher round out the week.
On the calendar
All-Abilities Playground ribbon cutting is today, Thursday, Oct. 15, at 5:30 p.m. at Fisher Park, 934 S. 1000 E. Clearfield Parks and Recreation says everyone is welcome to celebrate the opening. We have followed this project since construction began; see our earlier report on the Clearfield all-abilities playground.
Pumpkin pick-up is also today, 5:30 to 6:30 p.m. at Central Park. The city says pumpkins are limited and must be used at Steed Pond for the Pumpkin Float.
Howl-o-ween is Saturday, Oct. 17, from 4 to 6 p.m. at the Barlow Park dog park. The city lists it as a free event for costumed dogs. See the city’s official site for details.
Clearfield Pumpkin Float 2026 is Monday, Oct. 19, from 6 to 8 p.m. at Steed Pond. The city is pairing it with a Movie in the Park showing of The Goonies that evening.
Around town
Clearfield’s fall cleanup runs through the end of October. According to the city, residents with a utility-bill voucher get one free dump trip, loads must be covered, and vouchers are also available at City Hall. Fall registration for city sports and arts programs is open on the city’s registration page.
Dates and times are set by Clearfield City and can change. Confirm on the city’s website before you go: clearfield.city.
