Davis County 2026 General Election: Key Dates, Drop Boxes and Early Voting
Davis County voters will start finding general election ballots in their mailboxes in mid-October. The Davis County Clerk’s official election notice lays out the key dates, where the 24-hour drop boxes are in all 15 cities, and when in-person voting is open. Here is what residents need to know before Election Day on Tuesday, Nov. 3, 2026.
Key dates
- Oct. 9, 10 a.m. – Public test of the county’s voting and tabulation equipment, Davis County Administration Building, Room 202. Anyone may watch.
- Oct. 13 – Mail ballots begin going out (the notice says 21 calendar days before the election). Every active registered voter receives one automatically.
- Oct. 23, 5 p.m. – Utah’s deadline for voter registrations to reach the county clerk. After that, eligible residents can still register in person at early voting or at a polling location on Election Day.
- Oct. 27–30, 8 a.m.–5 p.m. – Early in-person voting at the Davis County Administration Building, 61 S. Main St., Farmington. A drop box is there too.
- Nov. 3, 7 a.m.–8 p.m. – Election Day. Polling locations are open, and drop boxes close at 8 p.m.
- Nov. 13, 10 a.m. – Public post-election audit, Administration Building, Room 202.
Election Day polling locations and drop boxes
Each city has one Election Day polling location, open 7 a.m. to 8 p.m. for voting in person or dropping off a ballot. Drop boxes are open 24 hours a day until 8 p.m. on Nov. 3. Locations marked “drive-thru” let you drop your ballot without leaving the car. The rest are walk-up boxes.

Who can vote, and what’s on your ballot
Voters must be U.S. citizens, live in the precinct where they vote, and be 18 or older by Election Day. Ballots differ by precinct, so yours will only list the races and questions you’re eligible to vote on. You can view your sample ballot and check your registration at vote.utah.gov or through the Davis County Clerk’s elections site, DavisCountyElectionsUtah.gov. Accessible voting machines are available. Voters with a disability who can’t use a paper ballot can contact the County Clerk to arrange accessible voting. The Clerk’s Office is at 61 S. Main St., Farmington, and the phone number is 801-451-3213.
