Centerville residents have two chances in the next two weeks to speak at City Hall. The Planning Commission holds a public hearing on a site plan amendment for the Maverik property on Parrish Lane on Tuesday, Nov. 10, and the City Council holds a public hearing on the city’s 2026 Water Conservation Plan on Tuesday, Nov. 17. Both are hearings, not decisions.

What is the Maverik hearing on Nov. 10?

The Centerville Planning Commission is scheduled to hold a public hearing at 7 p.m. on Nov. 10 at Centerville City Hall, 250 N. Main Street. The agenda item is a proposed site plan amendment for the commercial property at about 1265 W. Parrish Lane, known as Maverik Inc. According to the city’s public notice, the item is listed as an amendment, but the notice does not describe what would change. The notice also does not say how to submit written comments. Questions go to Centerville Community Development at 801-292-8232. The notice says the meeting may be held partly by electronic means but gives no joining details, so check the posted agenda before you go.

What is the Water Conservation Plan hearing on Nov. 17?

The City Council is scheduled to take public comment on the 2026 Water Conservation Plan at 7 p.m. on Tuesday, Nov. 17, also at City Hall, 250 N. Main. The city’s hearing notice does not describe what the plan contains. To comment in writing, deliver comments to City Hall, marked “Attention City Recorder,” by 5 p.m. on Monday, Nov. 16. The notice refers questions to the Centerville Public Works Department; the city’s general line is 801-295-3477 and its email is info@centervilleutah.gov.

What we don’t know yet

Neither notice spells out the specific changes or the plan’s contents, and no staff reports were reviewed for this story. We will report on any vote once the city posts it.
