Halloween night is almost here, and Kaysville’s calendar over the next several days mixes a last-minute trick-or-treat option with a cemetery cleanup reminder, a safety class and a City Council meeting. Here is what the city has posted for Oct. 30 through Nov. 5.

On the calendar

  • Trunk-or-Treat in the Arboretum — Friday, Oct. 30, 3–5 p.m., at the USU Extension Davis County site, 875 South 50 West. Free. The city’s listing asks families to register the adults and youth in their group ahead of time. See the DCU event page.
  • First Aid/CPR certification class — Thursday, Nov. 5, 5–9 p.m., at Kaysville Fire Station 61, 175 South Main Street. The city lists the fee as $30 for Kaysville residents and $40 for non-residents, due at registration and non-refundable. Classes need at least three students and are capped at 12. Register on the city’s ActivityReg page or call 801-544-2860. City listing.

Around town

  • Cemetery cleanup, Nov. 2–3. Kaysville City Cemetery (500 East Crestwood Drive) holds its monthly cleanup Monday and Tuesday from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. Staff remove all decorations during cleanups except faux flowers in permanent vases, so anything you want to keep should be picked up beforehand. Questions: 801-497-7140 or cemetery@kaysville.gov. City listing.
  • 200 North reconstruction continues. The city says work has been on the north side of 200 North between 500 East and Country Lane since July, with traffic using the south side, and expects it to continue through winter 2026. City notice.
  • Veterans Day office closure. City offices are listed as closed Wednesday, Nov. 11. City listing.

Meetings

The Kaysville City Council is scheduled to meet Thursday, Nov. 5, at 7 p.m.; council members are listed as available from 6:30 p.m. to talk with residents. Speakers must sign up in person before the meeting starts, and written comments can be emailed to publiccomment@kaysville.gov, though they are not read aloud. The city has also posted a Notice of Public Hearing and Bonds to be Issued for 7 p.m. on Nov. 5; the city’s calendar page does not describe the bonds, so check the posted agenda for details. Nothing here is a decision. For background on the separate fire station question, see our earlier report: Kaysville cancels the Nov. 3 fire station bond election.

Agendas and meeting notices are linked on our Kaysville page. More headlines are on DCU News, and more events are on the Kaysville events calendar.

Dates and times are set by Kaysville City and can change. Confirm on the city’s website (kaysville.gov) before you go.
