This Week in West Bountiful: Recycling Pickup, Arts Council Meeting and Oct. 6 Council Preview (Sept. 28–Oct. 4)
It is a quieter week on the West Bountiful city calendar, but there are still a few things worth knowing, from curbside recycling to an Arts Council meeting and the run-up to the first City Council meeting of October. Here is what the city has posted for Sept. 28 through Oct. 4.
Recycling pickup: Monday–Tuesday, Sept. 28–29
The city’s official calendar shows a recycle collection spanning Monday, Sept. 28, and Tuesday, Sept. 29. Recycling runs on an every-other-week cycle on the city calendar, so this is a good week to get your recycling can to the curb. The city’s recycle info page explains what belongs in the can.
Arts Council meeting: Thursday, Oct. 1
The West Bountiful Arts Council meets Thursday, Oct. 1, from 6:30 to 7:30 p.m. The group is behind the city’s fall concert series, so residents interested in local arts programming or volunteering can check in.
Looking ahead: City Council on Tuesday, Oct. 6
The next City Council meeting is scheduled for Tuesday, Oct. 6, at 7:30 p.m. The council meets on the first and third Tuesdays of the month. Agendas and packets are posted on the city’s Agendas & Minutes page before each meeting, and anything listed there is only scheduled for consideration until the council acts.
Also starting Monday, Oct. 5, residents without a student at West Bountiful Elementary can pick up a free paper lantern at City Hall for the WB Paul Revere Riders evening on Oct. 12.
