This Week in Centerville: Fall Festival at Smith Park, City Council Meeting (Oct 16–22)
Centerville’s week has a neighborhood fall event on Monday evening and a full slate of city meetings on Tuesday and Wednesday. Here is what the city has posted for Oct. 16–22.
On the calendar
Fall Festival — Monday, Oct. 19, 6–8 p.m. The Centerville Youth Council and the Whitaker Museum community are hosting the festival at William R. Smith Park, 300 N. 100 E. If you plan to bring a pre-carved pumpkin, drop-off runs 5:30–6:30 p.m. The city’s event listing is on the Centerville City website.
Meetings
These meetings are listed as scheduled. The city’s posted agendas and notices are the place to see what each body is set to take up.
Tuesday, Oct. 20: a City Council work session is scheduled for 5:30–7 p.m., followed by the regular City Council meeting at 7 p.m.
Wednesday, Oct. 21: the Tree Board is scheduled to meet at 8 p.m.
The city has also posted three public hearing notices on its website: two for conditional use permits (one for a convenience store) and one for an amendment to construction details and drawings. The city’s posted listing does not show hearing dates for them, so check the notices themselves for when and where each will be heard. Agendas and meeting notices are linked on our Centerville page.
