Bountiful Philharmonia Chamber Orchestra Concert

Our feature piece for the concert is Ottorino Respighi’s Trittico Botticelliano, a remarkable orchestral work inspired by three celebrated paintings of Renaissance artist Sandro Botticelli. Through rich harmonies, expressive melodies, and exquisite orchestral color, Respighi captures the beauty and spirit of Botticelli’s artwork, creating a musical experience that beautifully connects the worlds of visual art and classical music.
The program also includes Edward Elgar’s Chanson de Matin and Chanson de Nuit, two graceful and lyrical compositions; Gustav Holst’s Moorside Suite, a work reflecting the richness of the British musical tradition; Percy Grainger’s Molly on the Shore, a lively and colorful interpretation of Irish folk melodies; and Georg Philipp Telemann’s Overture des Nations anciens et modernes, an imaginative Baroque work exploring the musical character of different nations and cultures.
We look forward to sharing an evening of exceptional music and artistic inspiration with you!
