DESCRIPTION:The 1776 Challenge\nSyracuse City invites the public to participate in the 1776 Challenge\, in which participants memorize a portion of the Declaration of Independence and recite it to a docent at the Syracuse Regional Museum for a commemorative token (limited quantities available). The challenge is open to all ages and runs through June 19\, 2026. There is no fee to visit the Syracuse Regional Museum.\nAge 15 and below should memorize and recite:\nWe hold these truths to be self-evident\, that all men are created equal\, that they are endowed by their Creator with certain unalienable Rights\, that among these are Life\, Liberty and the pursuit of Happiness. \nAge 16 and above should memorize and recite:\nWe hold these truths to be self-evident\, that all men are created equal\, that they are endowed by their Creator with certain unalienable Rights\, that among these are Life\, Liberty and the pursuit of Happiness.
